Dental care in rabbits and other small mammals is very different compared to that which is provided to dogs and cats, requiring specialized knowledge of the unique anatomy and the diseases to which they are prone, as well as additional training.
At Long Island Bird & Exotics Vet Clinic we use special equipment and specific and safe anesthesia protocols. We perform endoscopy assisted dental procedures, and all oral exams are performed using a rigid endoscope, no exceptions.
